The "Play like a Champion" programme is released  

The "Play like Champions" programme starts on Saturday 5th March and offers a new, fun programme with lots of new skills for the players to learn.

The programme offers something a little different with weekly sessions focusing on developing skills and techniques such as using two feet, being a team captain, volleys and how to take a penalty. 

Basic skills such as dribbling, passing, finishing on goal, attacking and defending will also be explored in a fun way and in a way that is appropriate for the ages of the children.

New Year 2011 programme launched

Details of the New Year 2011 programme have been released. The new programme sees a slight change with an additional fun game included each week. Details are available on the programmes page.

SKY Sports News feature the Football Football programme

Andy May from Sky Sports News visited the Powerleague in Barnet and filmed the players having fun in the Football Football programme. Watch this space for a video of what happened!

The FA confirm their support for the programme

 Pete Ackerley, Senior Development Manager at The FA confirmed:

"The Football Association supports the aims and objectives of the ‘Football Football’ programme that is being delivered through FA affiliated small sided football providers across England. 

 This programme looks to engage with young people who do not normally get the opportunity to participate in football through traditional youth football structures.
